What plugins are included by default when a new website is created on the WordPress hosting platform?

At the moment, Sydney Pro, Elementor Pro, WPML, WPSuperCache, Elementor Essential Addons, GDPR Cookie Consent, Solid Security, OAuth Single Sign On, , Accessibility OneTap, Smash Balloon and Yoast SEO are enabled by default. You can inquire to have more plugins that MITA has to offer by contacting call center to raise a request for our support team to deliver promptly.

Can I use other WordPress plugins on my WoPHoP hosted website?

We allow you to request for additional plugins to be installed on your website, however, these plugins need to pass our security vetting process before they can be installed. This ensures that your websites are secure and that any additional functionality provided by the plugin does not compromise the security of the website. If you have a plugin that you would like to request for installation, please contact our support team and they will assist you with the process.

How can I access the Add-to-any share buttons and other approved plugins on my WoPHoP hosted website?

Currently not all plugins come installed by default on your new website. For installation of a MITA approved plugin you don’t currently have, kindly raise a request for an additional plugin installation to be added to your website promptly by our support team. A few plugins at the moment require higher permission levels which we cannot give to you for security reasons. However, our team is dedicated to providing a solution that will allow you to use all the plugins that you need without compromising the security of your website.

Media Library

Can I organize and categorize my media files within the media library on my website?

To help keep your media organized, we have implemented a media categorization feature on your website that allows you to split your media library into different categories and tags. This feature makes it easier for you to find the media you need and keeps your library organized. If you need help with categorizing your media, please reach out to our support team and they will assist you.

How can I search for specific media files within the media library on my website?

Currently, WoPHoP does not have a built-in search feature for the media library. However, you can use the sorting options such as categories and tags to help you find the specific media files you need within the library. This allows for a more organized way of accessing the files you need.

At the moment, replacing an image on your website without losing the links can be done through the media with the custom made feature button replace media. This will allow you to change the image in every location of the site.

Users

How can I add and manage users?

Upon the request for the creation of your website, include the users to be added within the website and their roles. Additional users can be added to your website following the creation by requesting a Grant Access request to our support team. Our team will promptly grant higher access to the users requested depending on the user roles requested.

What different user roles are available?

The different user roles available on our platform include the default WordPress roles of Editor, Author, and Contributor, Uploader, as well as the default Site Owner role. The Subscriber role is not included. The Site Owner has the highest level of access and can perform all actions on the website, while the Editor can manage and publish content. The Author can also create and manage their own content, while the Contributor can write and manage their own content but cannot publish it. Uploader will only have access to the media section of the site and is used to upload media files only.

How can I control access to certain pages and posts for specific users?

Currently all users have the same capabilities for each post and page dependent on the user role given to that user. We are looking into implementing future plugins for individual users to have different access levels to specific posts and pages dependent on how the siteowner manages the users.

How can I revoke access to users that no longer need access to my website?

To revoke or demote access to users that no longer need the assigned role, kindly send a Request For Service for the deletion or demotion to the specific user for your website. Our support team will promptly act for the user to be revoked as requested.

Can I see a list of current users on my website and their roles?

To request the list of the current users on your website kindly raise an Request for Service for the list of users on your website for our support team to answer promptly. 

Development and live environments

How does the development process work for my website?

After receiving a request for website creation from your end, our team will develop a starter site with the default plugins and themes installed to make your website building experience much easier. In the case of any difficulties, do not hesitate our support team for small difficulties that could be resolved with the help of administration. If you require a modification of your website such as a plugin installation, or a new user and vise versa, kindly raise a Request for Service for our support team to answer promptly. When your website is finished, a request for website publishing will let our team know to start working on your website to remove it from the beta development environment and go live to all users. Once the website is live you can keep working on it without any downtime, however the public will be able to view any changes you have made when your website is live.

Is my website backed up, in case of a needed rollback?

Every website is backed up hourly 24/7 on a monthly basis. In the case of any emergency or rollback don’t hesitate and kindly request the specific time and date for your website to be rolled back. 

I have finished my website, what is the process required to go live?

Once your website is finished and ready for all users to access the website kindly raise a Request For Service to publish your website. Our team will promptly follow advising you when your website is live with your desired url. Once the website is live you can keep working on it without any downtime, however the public will be able to view any changes you have made when your website is live.

What is the timeline and deadline for the development and deployment of my website on WoPHoP's platform, and how much time do I have to work on it before it goes live?

When it comes to timelines for developing and deploying your website on WoPHoP’s platform, there is no set deadline for you to meet. You have the flexibility to work on your website at your own pace. Once you’re ready to make your website live, simply raise an RFS and we’ll take care of publishing the portal within a 5 day SLA
